The 'Social Coastal' Audax
2024 see's the inaugural 'Social Coastal' Audax, this is a brand new 112km Brevet Populaire on the Cornish calendar. A hilly coast to coast challenge showcasing some of Cornwall's finest coast and country. The event has been organised by club member David Squance, the route he has devised heads out of Wadebridge towards clay country before dropping down through St Austell and the challenging coastal climbs of Pentewan, Mevagissey, Portmellon & Porthluney. The route then heads back to Wadebridge via Probus, Ladock & a stop at Indian Queens for cake & savory treats to fuel you for the last leg along the North Coast to Padstow and back to base along the Camel Trail.
