Club Rides for all
Our club rides are very sociable, with a friendly 'go with the flow' attitude (there's a reason we're called the 'coasters'). We have our own etiquette for club rides - no one gets left behind, yet provision is also made for those who want to race up the hills! Longer rides usually feature a coffee stop, while evening rides invariably finish at a pub. Club rides generally start at Lidl (map below).
See our Facebook page for more information (including planned routes) or contact Captain Dave. For an explanation of our colour coded ride ratings, see below. Under 18s who have been awarded a Club Ride Pass (usually having graduated from Coasters Academy) may join club rides. Children under 12 cannot come on adult club rides but we provide a range of activities for them - see Under 18s. |

* these rides are seasonal and don't happen during the winter. If it's not currently British Summer Time, it's best to check the ride is happening before turning up at Lidl.
Our timetable is subject to change for all sorts of reasons. By far the best way to keep abreast of what's happening is to join our Facebook group. All of the rides depart promptly from Lidl (map below). Some daytime rides stop at a cafe, evening rides invariably finish at a pub. Please read about our club ride code of conduct before you come. Any questions, contact Dave Bolton (club captain) or the ride leader listed above (click here if you're not sure who's who).
PLEASE NOTE:
Wadebridge Coasters CC does not provide insurance cover nor accept liability for club ride participants, who all ride at their own risk. We strongly recommend that you join British Cycling for third party insurance. |
Club Ride ratingsWe rate our club rides by colour, inspired by the system used for ski runs. If you want to get an idea whether a particular club ride is suitable for you, just ask the ride leader what 'colour' the ride will be. Often the level of ride will be determined by who turns up for it. Sometimes there will be different coloured options running simultaneously.

Went on my first club ride on Saturday. Was made to feel so welcome. Everyone was really kind and understanding as I struggled up some of the steeper hills!! So I decided to join the club yesterday. (Richard Alexander)
IMPROMPTU RIDESOur members are out cycling most days all year round so it's always worth getting in touch via Facebook or Strava - we like company! Please note that rides organised in this way are not classed as official Wadebridge Coasters CC rides and we strongly recommend that they do not include under 18s for safeguarding reasons.

The best bunch of people I've ever had the pleasure of cycling with, with banter and selfies to boot! (Victoria Edwards, Devon) |
Unless otherwise stated, club rides start from Lidl supermarket's car park (usually round the back) on Eddystone Road in Wadebridge.
