Club Rides

As you can see the Coasters love to ride and have 6 core rides per week. ​We rate our rides by colour, inspired by the system used for ski runs. If you want to get an idea whether a particular club ride is suitable for you, just ask the ride leader what 'colour' the ride will be. Often the level of ride will be determined by who turns up for it. Sometimes there will be different coloured groups running simultaneously.

​Unless otherwise stated, club rides start from Lidl supermarket's car park (usually round the back) on Eddystone Road in Wadebridge.

If only that were true. Sometimes circumstances change meaning rides are amended or cancelled for safety reasons. We strongly recommend that you head over to our public Facebook page to get the latest ride updates/route to avoid any disappointment.

Join the Club

If you've already been on a ride with the Coasters and are here checking when you can ride again, please join our club. Membership costs £16 per year and is essential for our club third party insurance cover. Simply sign up through the British Cycling website. While you're there, we strongly suggest that you join British Cycling too for the various benefits, particularly personal third party insurance cover.

Rating Guide

• Green rides are slow, flat and gentle, suitable for almost anyone who can ride a bike. Ride range between 10-20 miles​
• Blue rides are our 'social rides'.  You'll need to be comfortable cycling 25 miles to join one of these. The routes may be a bit hillier than those used for green rides, but they won't normally be too long and the pace won't be too hard. Our shorter Sunday morning options are generally blue.
• Red rides are our normal club runs, generally covering at least 30 miles. Expect hills and a few fast sections. Some riders will race ahead occasionally, but they'll always wait for the group - we never leave anyone behind
