Who are we?

Some of the 'Coasters' race time trials or triathlons, some enjoy long distance sportives or climbing steep hills. Lots of members regularly ride and compete on mountain bikes, cyclo-cross and downhill. But many of us are happy just coasting along, admiring the beautiful scenery of the Camel valley and the north coast of Cornwall. We have a strict rule that we never leave anyone behind, but we also include extra challenges for those who enjoy them!

When do we ride?

We have a regular schedule of group rides for various disciplines and skill levels with something available six days a week. Full details on the schedule and an explanation of our colour coding can be found on the club rides page.

What's the best way to keep up to date with the club?

Our primary social network is Facebook, we have a public group used for organising informal rides, keeping members up to date with events and social occasions plus it provides a place to talk bikes and cake.

A Facebook account is required to join the groups but it is by no means a requirement to become a member of the Coasters or to ride with us!

Coasters For All offers both professional cycling instruction and weekly group bike rides. Coasters For All is a joint initiative between Wadebridge Coasters CC, Concern Wadebridge and Cycle Training Cornwall. Our aim is to promote, facilitate and encourage cycling among older people, and also those with disabilities or other health issues. Cycling is an ideal activity to enjoy as we get older and can be extremely beneficial for people with a range of health issues.

Coasters Youth and Ready Set Ride are running on Saturday mornings at St Breock School providing coaching for primary school aged children. Our Coasters Academy programme covers secondary school children, equipping them with the skills and confidence to move up to adult rides.

Testimonials

My congratulations go to Wadebridge Coasters Cycling Club for reaching 200 members on their second anniversary. The club engages with all parts of the community and achieved prestigious Clubmark status in December 2017, demonstrating a commitment to providing a safe and fun environment for their youth members to develop both their cycling and volunteering. I look forward to seeing what the next year holds for them.
(Julia Klinger-Moore, South West Coaching and Clubs Officer)
A wonderful group of cyclists that take 'not taking themselves seriously' very seriously. If you're a first timer or a seasoned cyclist, you'll 100% enjoy riding and socialising with this club. (Steve Cleggy Harris, Cranked Bikes)
Thanks for your support guys! Friendliest club in the country I reckon! (Chris Spray, having just ridden Lands End to John O'Groats with his 11 year old daughter)
